Summer Commencement 2014
On Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 1:00 pm we celebrate
the achievements of our graduates when we host our summer commencement in the Henry Gymnasium at the Arnaud C. Marts Sports and Conference Center.

A special post-Commencement reception will be held in the Henry Student Center Ballroom immediately after the ceremony. We consider it a privilege to share this happy time with you.
Watch Summer Commencement LIVE!Candidates should assemble in the multipurpose room
on the lower level of the Marts Center (274 South Franklin Street) no later than 11:45 am. Signs will designate the assembly points inside the Marts Center.
Please be prompt. Those who are not at the assembly point, in academic costume, when the procession is formed, will not be able to march and sit with their classmates.
The Academic Procession will be made up of
the Platform Party Procession and the Student Procession. Once the Procession begins, each graduate should be sure to follow the person preceding him or her and keep the line closed without gaps. A member of the University staff will direct graduates to their seats.
The academic costume looks best when worn
over dark shoes and dark lower garments. The collar of a white shirt or blouse complements the academic robe nicely. Members of the Student Affairs staff will be available at the Marts Center to help graduates with robing.

We will mail your academic attire to you. If you wish to iron your academic apparel, do so with a cool iron. Do not worry about how to "don" the hood; we will help with that on Commencement Day.

You may want to bring several safety pins and bobby pins with you on Commencement Day. The University will also have these supplies available at the robing site.
The Henry Gymnasium will open at 11:30 am for seating.
Seating for graduates will be reserved.

Seating for guests
should be adequate, but we encourage guests to arrive early to avoid any disappointment.

For guests with mobility impairments:
a limited number of reserved parking and seating is available. These are on a first-come first-served basis in a specially designated area. If you or any member of your family require special parking or seating, please contact the Office of Student Affairs by August 22 so special arrangements can be made or consult one of the ushers when you arrive.

All campus parking lots will be open for graduates and guests.
