Have Some Laughs with Wilkes University Theatre
Wilkes University Theatre presents the touching and thoughtful comedy "Theophilus
North" by Matthew Burnett, based on the short story by Thornton Wilder.
This charming comedy follows a restless schoolteacher in search of adventure as he sets out to see the world in the summer of 1926. Stranded in the upscale resort town of Newport, R.I., he becomes entangled in the intrigues of the leisure class and finds more than he ever dreamed.
Performances are at the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center for the Performing Arts on Sept. 28, 29 and 30 at 8 p.m. and October 1 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 general admission, $5 for students and seniors and free with a Wilkes ID.
