Opioid Crisis Panel Discussion Coming to Campus

Have you or a loved one been affected by opioids? Are you interested in learning more about the current state of the opioid state in Pennsylvania?


If so, the Luzerne County Law and Medical Societies, along with Wilkes University, is sponsoring a panel discussion on the state of the opioid crisis in Pennsylvania.

The panel discussion will be held on Thursday, Sept. 7 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the Ballroom of the Henry Student Center.

Pharmacists and physicians specialized in pain and addiction medicine, members of the legal community from Luzerne County and representatives from the DEA will be present to discuss the current state of the opioid crisis.

Wilkes pharmacy students will be present to support various medication initiatives such as safe medication disposal and the use of naloxone.

The event will also be broadcast on WBRE.
