Consider Accelerated Air Force ROTC

ATTENTION:  Current students and recent grads - want to add experience to your resume?  Consider the Air Force ROTC Program.

NEW one- and two-year accelerated AFROTC Program for college juniors, seniors, graduate students and college grads - THIS ACADEMIC YEAR ONLY.

Due to the shortage of USAF officers over the next two years, all AFROTC programs nationwide are offering one-year and two-year accelerated programs for college juniors, seniors and graduate students in any major.  Additionally, current bachelors/master’s degree holders under age 31 who will be full-time students in 2018 or 2019 are also eligible.

This program will allow students to complete the AFROTC program in as little as one or two years, instead of the traditional four years. Students will commission as a 2nd Lieutenant with a guaranteed full-time job (full pay and benefits) as a leader in the Air Force.

The accelerated program is an unprecedented opportunity that is being offered for the 2017 - 2018 and 2018 - 2019 academic years ONLY.  Students must sign up for AFROTC by the the Fall 2017 semester to participate.  Students will take accelerated AFROTC courses during the fall and spring semester while in the program, which consists of an academic class (3 hours), Leadership Lab (2 hours), and group fitness (1 hour) that meets once per week on Thursdays at Wilkes University.

All students meeting accelerated program requirements will receive a tax-free stipend of $450 for the first month, then $500 per month for subsequent semesters.  Additionally, technical majors participating in the one-year program will be eligible to receive a one-year scholarship that pays full tuition and fees.
