The People Speak: Celebrating Unexpected Voices at Wilkes University

The Communication Studies department and the Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society invite all students, staff and faculty to an event celebrating World Speech Day on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. This event will take place in the Miller Room (2nd floor, SUB) and will begin at 3:30 p.m.

We will screen a portion of the film "The People Speak" and follow the screening with a panel discussion/forum Q&A on the topic of the importance of finding and using our voices in civic and professional contexts. Several faculty members from a variety of disciplines will make up our panel, and we will invite questions and comments from the audience regarding the topic of speech in our culture and society.

We look forward to celebrating #unexpectedvoices - including yours! - with the entire Wilkes community. See you on World Speech Day.

Please feel free to forward any questions regarding this event to Mia E. Briceno at
