Sen. Robert Casey Holds Roundtable Today On Campus About Women’s Safety Legislation
Sen. Robert Casey is hosting a roundtable today from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. in the Miller Room of the Henry Student Center The purpose is to discuss women’s safety including domestic violence, sexual assault, and the Campus SaVe Act. Sen. Casey will hear feedback from community representatives involved in women’s safety issues in local organizations and in the community. The senator will ask questions related to these issues as well. The conversation will be very informal and members of the campus community are invited to attend.
During the conversation, Senator Casey will announce his support for legislation introduced by Senator Klobuchar that would expand protections for domestic violence and stalking victims against gun violence. The legislation, S. 1520, the Protecting Domestic Violence and Stalking Victims Act.
