D2L/LIVE Upgrade and Outage

Important D2L (LIVE) Announcement:

The eLearning office would like to inform the campus of a coming upgrade to the Wilkes University learning management system, D2L (LIVE), that is scheduled for May 17, 2016. During this upgrade, D2L (LIVE) will be inaccessible to all users from roughly 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17. Faculty who may need to wrap up student grading for the spring 2016 term should plan to have their grading information downloaded from D2L prior to May 17. Details are forthcoming about how to do this. For courses running during this period, the system should be back up for evening hours, but faculty and students are advised to have communication about any adjustments that may need to be made to their course schedules as a result of this outage. While we recognize this will be an inconvenience to some students and faculty who have courses running at this time, the eLearning office is excited about this upgrade as it will provide many system enhancements and features that will be rolled out to users over time. Announcements about the enhancements and new features will be shared on our FaceBook page, so please “like” Wilkes University eLearning on FaceBook to stay up to date with all the announcements or you can visit https://goo.gl/jhDzbH at any time to review them. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time. Please contact any eLearning staff member with any questions you may have.

Sincerely, The eLearning Staff
