Buddhist Meditation Sessions to Begin Again Wednesday, January 27th

Anyone interested in practicing some Buddhist meditation is invited to come to the Kirby Salon (first floor of Kirby Hall) on Wednesday, January 27th.  We will be practicing both sitting and walking meditation in the tradition of Vietnamese Buddhist Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.  This tradition emphasizes mindfulness and careful analysis of our experience in the interests of encouraging peace and joy in our lives.  In this first session, there will be a short explanation of the basic practices.  We will start at 4:45 p.m. and finish at 5:30 p.m.  All interested parties are welcome.  No experience is necessary and you need not commit to anything more than trying the practices for the 45 minutes that you are there.

Please contact Dr. Linda Paul (linda.paul@wilkes.edu) for a copy of the written information about the practices or if you have any questions.  Can’t make the first session?  Join us for a later one.  We plan on meeting once a week, either Mondays or Wednesdays 4:45-5:30 p.m. in the Kirby Salon.  Whether our sessions are on Wednesdays or Mondays will depend on the schedules of those who are interested.
