Early Alert Available for Faculty

Undergraduate faculty are reminded that the Early Alert System is available for your use.  Early Alert makes it possible to provide “just-in-time” feedback to your students, academic advisors, and to the staff in University College, so that critical academic and non-academic interventions and support can be provided.  By using this tool, you can identify course-specific issues or concerns, offer recommendations for improving performance, and connect students to appropriate resources.  The Early Alert tool also allows the University to monitor and provide needed interventions to students who may begin the semester at risk. Faculty teaching first-year students are especially urged to complete an Early Alert report about any student who is in need of a supportive intervention.   Early Alert works through Interact, the same system used to post mid-semester evaluations and final grades.    Please visit the Early Alert channel in the Faculty Tools tab of the MyWilkes portal to submit a report or for more information.  Contact Tom Thomas at thomas.thomas@wilkes.edu in University College for questions or concerns.
