Change in Marketing Communications Department

Dear Colleagues:

I am writing to update you on a change in the department of marketing communications.

Mr. Jack Chielli, associate vice president of marketing communications, will be leaving in mid-January to become vice president of marketing at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

Jack has served Wilkes in various roles for the past 12 years, including leading the University’s marketing communications efforts during a transformational period. During his tenure, Jack also served as executive assistant to the president and director of government relations. He earned his master’s degree in 2008 in the University’s graduate creative writing program. His creativity, loyalty, dedication and enthusiasm will be missed across campus.

During the transition, I will oversee the marketing communications team to ensure the seamless operation of their critically important duties. I will share any new information about the transition in the department with the campus community as it becomes available.

Please join me in congratulating Jack and wishing him well as he moves into this new role at Mount St. Mary’s. Though he’s turning the page, he will always be part of the Wilkes story.

There will be a reception in early January to honor Jack’s service.  The date will be shared in the very near future.

Sincerely,

Thomas S. MacKinnon
Vice President of University Advancement
