Call for Proposals - Annual Women's and Gender Studies Conference

Proposals are now being accepted for the 2017 Wilkes University and King's College Women's and Gender Studies Conference, "Identity at a Crossroads: Third-Wave Feminism and Intersectionality."

This year’s theme is meant to center our conversations around questions of diversity and inclusion in both contemporary and historical women’s and gender debates. As in years past, we are happy to have presentations on a broad range of gender-related topics, which do not have to connect directly to the conference theme.

Proposals are due February 24th, 2017 and may be submitted online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/ r/HWW275H .

We invite students, staff, faculty, and community members to participate in this conference. Session types include research presentations, panel discussions, poster presentations, video screenings, and performance art (e.g., poetry slam, dramatic performance, dance). We also welcome presentations about service learning, community service, and travel abroad opportunities.

For more information or questions about the conference please Dr. Jennifer Thomas, Director of Women’s and Gender Studies jennifer.thomas@wilkes.edu.
