Manuscript Society Presents: Found Poetry Night
On Monday, April 18, the Manuscript Society will hold Found Poetry Night at 6:00 PM in the Kirby Hall Salon. This event, open to the Wilkes community, will provide an opportunity to experiment with a new genre of literature and offer a chance to wind down and relax as we head into the final weeks of the semester.
Unlike traditional Manuscript Society readings, this event will begin with the chance to create your own original work of found poetry: the equivalent of a literary collage. Supplies will be provided by Manuscript, although participants can feel free to bring preexisting works or anything else they would like to work with. The event will conclude with the chance to read and present what you have created. Pizza and light refreshments will follow the event.
