Bystander Intervention Training Program Recruiting Student Trainers

Colonels Don't Stand By

The Bystander Intervention Training Program is in the process of recruiting student trainers once again! This program trains members of the student body, peer to peer, to safely intervene in situations or potential situations of sexual violence.

The mission of the Bystander Intervention Program is to empower students, faculty, and staff to take on active leadership roles in addressing sexual violence within our campus community.  Following completion of a specialized training course offered in collaboration with the Victims Resource Center of Luzerne County, faculty/ staff/ student trainers will engage our first year students in interactive dialogues designed to provide the skills and confidence to intervene safely and effectively when witness to situations where individuals may be at risk of sexual violence.

If you are interested please complete the Bystander Intervention Training Application.
