Bystander Intervention Training Program
The Bystander Intervention Training program is in the process of recruiting trainers once again! This program trains members of the Wilkes Community to safely intervene in situations or potential situations of sexual violence.
The mission of the Bystander Intervention Program is to empower students, faculty, and staff to take on active leadership roles in addressing sexual violence within our campus community. Following completion of a specialized training course offered in collaboration with the Victims Resource Center of Luzerne County, faculty/ staff/ student trainers will engage our first year students in interactive dialogues designed to provide the skills and confidence to intervene safely and effectively when witness to situations where individuals may be at risk of sexual violence.
If you are interested as a faculty/staff member, the remaining training session is:
· September 27th 12 noon- 3 pm in the Miller Conference Room
