ZOOM IN: Study Abroad Contest Deadline Extended

Criteria:
To enter you must have earned credits towards your Wilkes degree in or be an international student (F-1 visa) who is enrolled full time at Wilkes.
 
A maximum of two photos may be submitted per entrant and must be original, (no professional photos or digitally enhanced photos).
 
Winning entries will be selected on the best quality photographs that convey a strong sense of place or express a cross-cultural experience while on study abroad or in the US for international students in one of the following categories:
1.            People: Children, adults, families, self-portraits, communities
2.            Scenery: Plants, landscapes, waterscapes, wildlife, buildings, landmarks
3.            Helping Hands: Photos that visually represent the service experiences of study abroad
 
Submission:
All photos must be submitted digitally by email to Erica.acosta@wilkes.edu the image file must be titled to correspond with your entry form. Photos should be high resolution (300 dpi is ideal) in a jpg/jpeg format. A completed entry form MUST accompany every entry. When submitting photos via e-mail, your entry form may be saved or scanned to a PDF file and submitted with your photo(s). Entries must be received (electronic) no later than 5:00 pm, October 30th, 2015. Submissions received after the deadline will not be eligible.
 
WARNING:
Photos that include alcohol or the consumption of alcohol, drug use, or other illegal activities will not be accepted. Defamatory, slanderous, obscene, threatening, hateful, or otherwise offensive photos are also prohibited.
 
By entering the contest you will be giving the study abroad office permission to use your photo(s) in various marketing activities, publications, and/or on the Web for the purpose of promoting study abroad at Wilkes. This means all photos, not just winning entries, will be eligible for inclusion in such activities.
 
Prizes:

1.            People: 1st place $300 2nd Place $200 3rd place $100
2.            Scenery:  1st place $300 2nd Place $200 3rd place $100
3.            Helping Hands:  1st place $300 2nd Place $200 3rd place $100
 
The photo contest committee and staff from the Office of Study Abroad will do the judging and will be looking for the most interesting, compelling, exciting and awe-inspiring photos that evoke emotion about your experience abroad.
 
Winners will be officially announced during International - Diversity Week November 19th
