Congratulations to the fifteen undergraduate candidates who were inducted into the Teacher Education Program at Wilkes University on October 20, 2015 in the Miller Room of the Henry Student Center.  The candidates include:

To be eligible for induction into the program, candidates must: pass ED 190: Effective Teaching with Field Experience with at least a 2.5, complete 48 credits, including six credits in English and six credits in mathematics as mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), pass either the Pre-Service Academic Performance Assessment (PAPA) tests in Reading, Mathematics, and Writing, or the Core Academic Skills for Educators (CORE) tests in the same subject areas, maintain a minimum overall grade point average of 3.0, complete a Teacher Education Program application, submit a Philosophy of Teaching, sign the Code of Professionalism and Academic Honesty, complete the Dispositions Assessments, maintain an overall grade point average of 3.0/4.0, and have all required clearances on file in the Education Department.
