Wilkes Hosts SKYWARN Spotter Course November 16 , 6:30 PM
Wilkes University, in conjunction with the National Weather Service, will host a basic SKYWARN spotter course on November 16 from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm in 101 Stark Learning Center. Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend this free course. The goal of the course is to train storm spotters about severe weather and what to report to the National Weather Service (NWS) and Emergency Management relating to thunderstorms, tornadoes, hail and lightning.
