Stand With Nepal And Our Alumna

The Wilkes University community is invited to observe a minute of silence at 11:56 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, to stand with Nepal in the wake of the recent devastating earthquake in that country. Join President Patrick Leahy on the Greenway for the moment of silence. The moment of silence will also be done in recognition of our alumna, Sidhu School of Business graduate Evana Manandhar ’14, a native of that country and recently crowned Miss Nepal.  Evana is helping with relief efforts in her country. The moment of silence is scheduled for the 13th day after the earthquake and is done in the memory of all departed and to encourage the rebuilding of Nepal. A message about the moment of silence has been posted on the Wilkes University Facebook and Twitter feeds. Please share it, using the hashtag #withNepal.
