Website Launch Update

To the Wilkes community,

We have been extremely pleased that the overall response to Wilkes’ new website has been so positive. We anticipated that the launch of a new site would have some glitches. In particular, we are working to improve the functionality of the university’s faculty/staff directory, known as the locator. Some of the issues are listed below:

  • As you search for someone on the locator, you will experience a delay because the file size is very large.
  • Names are not listed in alphabetical order.
  • The alphabetical index is floating to the top of the page. 

We are working with our web developers to address these and other issues and hope to have them resolved in the near future. In the meantime, please be patient while the directory page downloads. If you experience another type of issue, please let craig.thomas@wilkes.edu or joshua.bonner@wilkes.edu know so it can be addressed.

While we believe we’ve connected all the broken links, there may be some pages that don’t load. If you find a broken link, please report that to the web team as well so it can be quickly fixed.

Please be assured that there should not be any disruption with class registration or filing grades because those two functions are not part of the website. They are part of the internal portal and Banner system. We’ve checked with the Registrar’s Office and have been reassured the website is not interfering with those two functions.  If you do experience an issue, please let us know.
