Health Sciences Pre-Professional Society is Hosting the US Army Forward Surgical Unit
The Health Sciences Pre-Professional Society is hosting the US Army Forward Surgical Unit on Thursday, November 20th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This is a fully equipped surgical unit that can be placed anywhere near combat zones so that wounded soldiers can be treated more quickly. The unit will be set up on the Greenway near the John Wilkes statue. The Army will also be bringing a four litter ambulance, which is used to transport wounded soldiers from the battle zone. Any one is welcome to stop by and look at this amazing outfit! There will be Army personnel, including a surgeon and a nurse practitioner who have worked in the unit, available to answer questions.
