Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week Events

This Week is National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, in order to commemorate this week there will be several events:

Tuesday, Nov. 18th - Prayer Service, 11am at the Flag Pole; please bring a poem, saying, scripture verse about caring for others.

Wednesday, Nov. 19th - Faces of Homelessness, 12-1pm, TBA; Come and listen as some of the Residents of Ruth's Place talk about their experiences of homelessness. Lunch will be provided.

Thursday, Nov. 20th - 22nd Annual Taste of Wilkes; Proceeds benefit the United Way of Wyoming Valley

Homeless Veterans Supply Drive: Socks, men's underwear, and men's undershirts, to be donated to St. Hedwig's Home for Homeless Veterans. Donations can be brought to either the Interfaith Office, 202 HSC or the Vista Office 204 HSC

Food Drive: FYF Students will be collecting non-perishable foods from 11am-1pm in the Henry Student Center. Donations can also dropped off at the Civic Engagement Office, HSC 203. Foods will be donated to the food pantries at First Baptist Church on River Street and St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen.
