P4s - Mandatory Child Abuse Training
Pursuant to Act 31, any pharmacist wishing to be licensed in Pennsylvania after January 1, 2015 (i.e. - current P4s), will need to complete three (3) hours of child abuse training approved by the Department of Human Services. http://www.dhs.state.pa.us/forchildren/keepkidssafepa/index.htm
P4s will need to complete this training on their own time prior to sitting for the board exams. A free program is available that will fulfill this requirement and can be found at www.reportabusepa.pitt.edu. (Additional programs approved by the Board can be found at http://www.portal.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt/community/con_ed_providers/21920).
If you want to be a registered pharmacist in Pennsylvania, you will need to complete the required training.
