Wilkes University Education Professor Dana Burnside Presents at International Conferences
Dana Burnside, assistant professor in the doctorate of education program at Wilkes
University, presented workshops at two international conferences. She presented “Global
Citizenship Lessons – Inspiring Proactive Agents of Change” at the Central and Eastern
European Schools Association’s 25th Annual Conference in Dubrovnik, Croatia, in March. She also presented “The Assignment
Option: Integrating student-centered assessments” at the 45th Annual Conference of the International Society for Exploring Teaching and Learning,
held Oct. 15-17 in Savannah, Ga.
Burnside will present at two more international conferences in November. She will present “Ethical Paradigms – An Examination of Ethics in Schools” at the Mediterranean Association of International Schools’ Annual Teachers and Administrators Conference on Nov. 11-15 in Barcelona, Spain. Also in Barcelona, Burnside will present “Global Citizenship Campfire” and “An Examination of Ethics in International Schools” at the European Council of International Schools’ Annual Educator Conference, scheduled for Nov. 18-21.
