Sustainability the Focus of United Nations Lecture at Wilkes University on Nov. 13

Wilkes University’s United Nations Lecture Series continues on Thursday, Nov. 13, when Matthias Klettermayer, presents “The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals - A New Approach” in the Miller Room of the Henry Student Center, at 4 p.m. Klettermayer is the sustainable development officer responsible for communication and outreach in the United Nations’ Division for Sustainable Development.
 

The United Nations Lecture Series is a collaboration between Wilkes University and the Humpty Dumpty Institute’s Higher Education Alliance for the United Nations. It brings U.N. officials to campus throughout the year for lectures and informal meetings with students. 

Klettermayer regularly gives presentations and briefings on sustainable development issues. He is the lead author of “Sustainable Development in Action,” the U.N.’s Division for Sustainable Development’s monthly newsletter, and manages the division’s social media channels on Twitter and Facebook. Prior to working with the United Nations, Klettermayer worked at the British Embassy and United Kingdom Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Vienna, where he performed communication and outreach activities on a range of international issues.
