The region’s only collegiate marching band marches in drum corps style.
The Wilkes University Marching Band is one of the most visible groups on campus, performing at home football games and other on- and off-campus events.
Students of all majors are welcome to participate in the Marching Colonels. No audition is necessary.
Wilkes University welcomes Jon Gardner for his first season as director of the Marching Colonels.
Wilkes University is a Conn-Selmer School
The Marching Colonels host an on-campus Band Camp from August 17 (move in day) to August 25. Students will move into their dorm room for the semester and spend a week rehearsing the music and drill for the 2016 field show. A tentative schedule of performances is provided below.
Students who play an instrument will be sent a packet of music in early July to be learned before band camp.
