This policies manual is designed to acquaint you with Wilkes University and provide you with information about working conditions, employee benefits, and some of the policies affecting your employment. You should read, understand, and comply with all provisions of the policies manual. It describes many of your responsibilities as an employee and outlines the programs developed by Wilkes University to benefit employees. One of our objectives is to provide a work environment that is conducive to both personal and professional growth.
No employee policies manual can anticipate every circumstance or question about policy. As Wilkes University continues to grow, the need may arise and Wilkes University reserves the right to revise, supplement, or rescind any policies or portion of the policies manual from time to time as it deems appropriate, in its sole and absolute discretion. The only exception to any changes is our Nature of Employment-at-Will Policy (#101) permitting you or Wilkes University to end our relationship for any reason at any time. Employees will, of course, be notified of such changes to the policies manual as they occur.
This manual, however, is not intended to be and is not to be construed as a binding, enforceable contract between Wilkes University and its employees.
