Class of 2002 Project: Making Paths for Others to Follow
The 2002 Senior Class united and pledged $4,400 to fund pathways for the arboretum project. To be located near the John Wilkes statue on the Fenner Quadrangle, the arboretum project was established to help enhance the beauty of the center of Wilkes’ campus. The Class of 2000 was the initial contributor, providing funds to purchase trees that would be placed in the arboretum. The Class of 2001 pledged funds to purchase a gazebo that will further beautify the arboretum. Wilkes Trustee William R. Miller, Class of 1981, has pledged the remainder of funds needed to complete the project. The arboretum will be constructed in the area of the old Church Hall site and will serve as an entrance into the heart of the campus.
