Some Things Can't be Found on a Transcript. At Least Not Yet.

Application Process

Our Policy

True to the Wilkes spirit of fostering education through relationships, Wilkes University reviews student applicants as individuals. We consider aptitude, past achievement and potential for success based on information provided through both standardized tests and the high school transcript.

Class rank, grade point average, academic curriculum and other outstanding qualities are all evaluated in the decision process. While not required, we welcome essays or letters of recommendation that can help us gain more insight into your student’s background and motivation. We welcome all students to visit our campus; however, some may specifically be invited to interview with us as a component of reviewing their file. We know that our students are more than just an SAT score, and we take great care throughout the admissions process to emphasize that.

Our Process

Wilkes offers rolling admissions to our applicants, and the application review process begins on Sept. 15 of each year. To download our application, click here. We encourage prospective students to complete their applications as soon as possible to allow more time for the decision process.

Please note that students applying to our Premedical Scholars Program must be accepted prior to Nov. 15, and those applying to our Guaranteed Seat Pre-Pharmacy Program must have their applications completed by Feb. 1. For more information about our academic programs, visit
