The Colonels battle in the fiercely competitive Mid-Atlantic Conference in 16 NCAA Division III sports.
While the Mid-Atlantic Conference is known for its fierce competition, Wilkes' 16 NCAA Division III teams routinely score on the field, court and in the classroom. Fans decked in yellow and blue cheer especially loud for the game that really matters: the annual football contest with cross-town rival King's College. The adversaries spar yearlong to claim the prestigious Mayor's Cup (which—we should mention—the Colonels have taken home six out of the last seven years). Want to play a part in bringing home another title? You can. About a third of our freshmen participate in athletics in some way.
