Laurie Loewenstein

Laurie Loewenstein portraitLaurie Loewenstein is a June 2007 graduate of the Maslow Family Graduate Program in Creative Writing at Wilkes University. Her novel, Unmentionables, was selected as the flagship publication of Kaylie Jones Books, an imprint of Akashic Books. It received a starred review from the Library Journal. Loewenstein, a former journalist and writing tutor, is coordinator of the Creative Writing Program's online Writing Resource Center and co-teaches the program's Research for Writers module. She majored in history at Colgate University and has a master's degree in history from Syracuse University. She is currently working on a novel set during the 1930s Dust Bowl.
