Middle-Grade, Young-Adult and Adult Novelist

Galante is the author of three middle grade novels, three young-adult novels, an eight-book chapter book series, and two adult novels. Her first book, The Patron Saint of Butterflies, (2008) was the recipient of numerous awards, including an Original Voices Award by Borders, an Oprah Pick for Teens, and a Best Book of the Year by the NAIBA. The Sweetness of Salt, (2010), was nominated for a Best Fiction for 2011 by YALSA, and The Summer of May, released in May 2011, was selected as a Summer Favorite by The Washington Post. Her most recent middle-grade novel, The World From Up Here, (2016) was recently awarded the Library Guild Award, and she has two more middle-grade novels forthcoming with Scholastic in 2018 and 2019. Her first adult novel, The Invisibles, published by Harper Collins, was released last summer to rave reviews in USA Today and Forbes Magazine. Her second adult novel, The Odds of You and Me, also with Harper Collins, will be published this summer, 2017. Cecilia teaches eighth grade English at Wyoming Seminary Lower School and lives with her three children in Kingston, Pennsylvania.
