Earth and Environmental Sciences Teacher ACT 48 Workshop

During this one-day workshop, middle and high school teachers (grades 7 to 12) can earn 5.5 Act 48 credits in earth and environmental sciences.

Wilkes University education faculty will discuss Next Generation Science Standards for high school students and will share information on Wilkes graduate education programs.

Environmental engineering and earth sciences faculty will provide a brief overview of earth and environmental science programs at Wilkes and talk about career opportunities in geosciences.

They will also offer two topic sessions:

  • Groundwater Flow Through Unconsolidated Sediments Experiment
  • Phases of the Moon Laboratory Activity

WHEN: 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. • Saturday, April 8

Parking is available in the lot behind the Henry Student Center, 84 W. South St., Wilkes-Barre.
