Experiental Learning Faculty and Support Staff
Our office is located in Stark Learning Center (SLC), Room 336. Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Please feel free to contact us with questions, concerns, or comments.
Shelli Holt-Macey, RPh
Director of Experiential Programs
Shelli Holt-Macey is Director of the entire experiencial program and the course coordinator for all Advanced Pharmacy Practice (APPE) rotations, for the faculty rotation portion of PHA 440 (Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience or IPPE II), as well as for the Institutional IPPE (PHA 445). She oversees all experiential courses and sits on many school committees as the experiential liaison to the School of Pharmacy.
Kristina Powers, PharmD
Kristina Powers, Experiential Coordinator for the Wilkes University School of Pharmacy, primarily works with experiential learning outside the classroom. Mrs. Powers takes the lead in the IPPEs related to Community Practice (IPPE I, PHA 335) and the prescriber rotation portion of IPPE II (PHA 440). Mrs. Powers is also coordinator and preceptor of the school’s IPPE IV (PHA 555) and elective APPE rotations, which both occur in cooperation with the Commonwealth Home Health and Hospice of Wilkes-Barre.
Dr. Jennifer Malinowski
Self-Directed IPPE Coordinator
Dr Malinowski is the coordinator for the Self-Directed Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (SD-IPPE). SD-IPPE involves P1-P3 student participation in community service programs that directly affect patients for an accumulation of 20 experiential hours. Common examples of these programs include: brown bags at senior centers/health fairs, blood pressure screenings, and poison prevention programs.
