President Patrick F. LeahyDr. Patrick F. Leahy

President, Wilkes University

Dr. Patrick F. Leahy serves as the sixth president of Wilkes University.  Since joining Wilkes in 2012, he has been leading the university on a path to becoming one of the finest small universities in the country through several initiatives including the launch of the “Gateway to the Future,” a strategic plan focusing on academic program developments, campus infrastructure and community relations.  Prior to joining Wilkes, he served the University of Scranton from 2004 to 2012 in numerous leadership roles including executive vice president and also taught in Scranton’s Business Leadership Honors Program. Currently, Dr. Leahy teaches in the Sidhu School of Business at Wilkes. He holds a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a dual Master’s degree from Cornell University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.


Dr. Anne SklederDr. Anne Skleder

Senior Vice President/Provost, Wilkes University

Dr. Anne Skleder joined Wilkes University in June 2014, bringing with her more than two decades of experience in higher education. She is responsible for leading the University’s academic programs and initiatives and working with the deans and faculty of its academic schools and colleges. She also has responsibility for administrative areas that include student recruitment and enrollment and international engagement.  She has a major role in implementing initiatives outlined in its strategic plan. Dr. Skleder received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, and her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Social and Organizational Psychology from Temple University. She completed Harvard University’s Institute for Educational Management.


Dr. Rhonda RabbittDr. Rhonda M. Rabbitt

Dean, Wilkes University School of Education

Dr. Rhonda M. Rabbitt is Dean for the Wilkes University School of Education with experience teaching graduate, undergraduate and PK-12 students. She leads programs at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level, which include early childhood/ elementary education, middle level and secondary education, special education, reading, STEM, and administrative certification, both domestically and internationally. Her personal leadership is rooted in her mission to provide opportunities for each child to live into his or her full potential. She holds a Doctorate in Educational leadership and Change from Fielding Graduate University, a Master’s degree in Secondary Education-Spanish, and an undergraduate degree in Spanish and in Business Administration.


Dr. Lori CooperDr. Lori A. Cooper

Assistant Professor of Education, Wilkes University

Dr. Lori Cooper is a full-time faculty member at Wilkes University with experience teaching undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students.  Her background in teaching is primarily in early childhood and primary grades, as she taught in public schools, military childcare and prekindergarten. In addition to classroom and administrative experience in early childhood, Cooper has taught undergraduate courses in science, mathematics, literacy methods, family and community collaboration and health and safety for young children. She holds a Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma, as well as a Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. 


Rosa Ponce Sanabria

Director of International Engagement, Wilkes University

Rosa Ponce Sanabria joined Wilkes University in 2015 as its director of international engagement, where she has been instrumental in developing educational partnerships between Wilkes and the Republic of Panama and with Panama’s universities. Prior to joining Wilkes, she was director of multicultural and international affairs at Midway University in Kentucky. She has extensive experience in facilitating cross-sector international work. Sanabria earned her Bachelor’s degree from Universidad Del Valle de Mexico, a diploma in management of customer service from INCAE, and a diploma in International Business from ORT.
